QUESTIONS & SUPPORT

A little clarity goes a long way.

How the platform works, what is shared and where to get a hand.

Who is ProProduction for?+

The people organising and working on motion and stills productions: producers, production managers, coordinators, photographers, photographic assistants, digital technicians, stylists and crew across departments. One account can support production work, crew work or both. The first release focuses on the UK.

Is my crew profile public?+

Your profile starts hidden. You choose whether it appears in the signed-in crew network. Applying to a role or responding to a private invitation shares your profile with that production. Your email and phone are shared with the production team after you accept a booking.

Does a pencil mean I am booked?+

No. A pencil is a tentative availability hold. The crew member acknowledges it separately. A booking is only confirmed when the crew member accepts the current offer, with its specific dates, rate and terms.

Can crew work different dates and day types?+

Yes. Each role has its own working dates, including prep, recce, travel, pre-light, fitting or rehearsal, wrap and retouch outside the production schedule. Choose the day type and any different daily rate on the role. Production schedule edits do not change existing role dates or agreements. A pencil is provisional; accepting an offer confirms the listed days and fees.

Who can read messages and see documents?+

A role conversation is shared with the crew member and the authorised production team. Production documents are available to the production team and confirmed crew. A pencil alone does not grant document access. External links have their own permissions.

What can the production PA do?+

When you ask, PA can suggest a private starting plan from your production setup answers, draft messages and review selected budgets or crew lists to propose roles and rates. You review suggestions before adding anything. It cannot contact people, hire crew or change bookings on its own.

Can I use my own rates?+

Yes. Advertise a day rate or a fixed fee with a clear scope; individual offers also support weekly agreements. Optional APA references apply to relevant UK motion-commercial roles only, not stills. Agree hours, overtime, travel, kit and cancellation terms explicitly.

Does this work for stills as well as motion?+

Yes. Choose Stills / photography or Motion + stills for a production, with roles across photography, digital capture, styling, retouching and shared departments. Use your own job titles and negotiated rates. Specify deliverables and any separate image-usage or creative fees in working terms; these are not automatically calculated or included in daily crew totals.

Can I invite another production-office colleague?+

Crew invitations are available now. Self-service invitations for additional PMs, coordinators or other colleagues to share administration of a company workspace are not available yet. Contact support to discuss your requirements before relying on shared office access.

Will I get an email for every message?+

Not currently. Production messages and activity are in-app, with conversations checking for updates every 15 seconds. Confirm urgent shoot changes directly. Account verification and password-recovery messages are sent by email.
